And the winners are......

SussexSpringWatch art competition results announced.


Well, what a tricky arts competition to judge that was! Well done to all who entered the competition and thank you for brightening up our social media streams over the past few weeks as part of #SussexSpringWatch!


We were delighted to have local resident, artist and teacher Kim Venter to help us.

We are delighted to announce the winners:


The winners of the 0-7 age group are:

1st place - Phoebe Cleevely (age 6) with her very detailed ‘drinking fish’ picture. A special mention also for her beautiful bee painting. Phoebe wins an art/ writing class with Kim as well as a bird box to paint at home.

2nd place - Lucia Schofield (age 6) for her gorgeous painting of a hare. Lucia wins an art/ writing class with Kim and a bug hunting set.


In the 8-17 age group, the winners are:

1st place - Wren Fawcett (age 14) with his ‘dormouse on a bluebell’. Wow! Wren wins an art/ writing class with Kim and a games compendium.

2nd place - Libby Swann (age 8 ) with her beautiful bluebells watercolour. Libby wins an art/ writing class with Kim as well as a ‘grow your own’ seed set.

Joint 3rd place - Eugenie Schofield (age 10) for her bluebell wood painting and Isobel Cleevely (age 8 ) for her patchwork fields painting. The girls both win an art/ writing class with Kim as well as some nature books.


Well done all! It’s safe to say that we have a lot of young talent in the community.

 

Here are the long awaited results to the Arts Competition age 18 and over! Also judged by have local resident, artist and teacher Kim Venter.


We are also delighted to be able to award a special prize as voted by 60s icon, fashion model, photographer and local resident, Pattie Boyd.


1st place - Megan Hamilton for her beautiful ‘snow in spring’ photo - Megan wins a box of wine kindly donated by Wines Select Ltd


2nd prize - Jo Stephens for her very poignant poem about the woods - Jo wins a photo shoot by Sian T. Photography


3rd prize goes - Susie Johnson for her ‘flying feet’ photo - Susie wins a

John Murray Butcher & Game Dealer voucher and a bottle of fizz.


Special prize awarded by Pattie Boyd goes to Zoe Dancaster for her ‘fingers and toes’ photo. Zoe wins a tour for 2 at the The Portsmouth Distillery Co. together with a signed copy of Pattie’s memoir.


Well done to all the winners and to everyone that entered. Thank you everyone for taking part and cheering up our social media streams with a celebration of the beautiful woods.


Special thanks from the STCP team to Lucy Percy for organising and running this celebration of the Spring woodland and all those local businesses and individuals who donated the generous prizes.
